WE IRKED A LOT of local gas station owners that day, but the customers sure liked it.

The trick was bringing the Ewing family into the real world so they could corner the market on gas, which was skyrocketing at the time, with unbeatable prices.

The event helped make the season premiere one of the most-watched ever for the network.

The most fun for me was writing the accompanying billboards, "editorial" ads and social posts, all in character.
